Approval to deploy Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces in by-elections

Islamabad: Tight security arrangements have been decided for the by-elections across the country for which the federal government has approved the deployment of Civil Armed Forces and Pakistan Army troops.

According to Express News, Civil Armed Forces and Pakistan Army troops will be used as Quick Response Force, Civil Armed Forces and Pakistan Army troops will be used as second and third tier.

After approval from the Federal Government, the Ministry of Interior has issued orders. The notification issued in this regard states that Civil Armed Forces and Pakistan Army troops will be available in 21 constituencies from today to 22.

It should be remembered that the Election Commission of Pakistan had requested the federal government to provide security in the by-elections.
