    The government’s announcement to form an inquiry commission on the letter of the judges

    Islamabad: The federal government has announced the formation of an inquiry commission on the letter written by six judges of the Islamabad High Court.

    Prime Minister of Law Nazir Tarar said in a press conference that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa discussed important national issues. The Chief Justice had expressed his desire to meet the Prime Minister. Will keep the matter.

    Azam Nazir Tarar announced the formation of a commission of inquiry and said that a commission should be formed on the letter and an impartial retired person should prepare a report on it. An impartial judicial personality will be entrusted with the inquiry.

    The Law Minister said that if TORs are made, not only this letter but also the past cases can be seen to some extent, a decision has been taken in principle to form a commission based on the judges’ letter, the commission will be headed by a well-known retired judge. First, the letter needs to be investigated.

    He said that when the names of one or two senior most judges come out, they will be requested to head the commission, and the commission will be notified in 2 to 4 days on the issue of the judges’ letter.
