A high-speed double-decker bus collides with a milk truck in India, killing 18 people

New Delhi: In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a double-decker passenger bus went out of control and collided with a milk truck, killing 18 people and injuring 19 others.

According to Indian media, the accident took place on the expressway near Lucknow. The double decker passenger bus was going from Bihar to New Delhi. The collision was so terrible that the front part of the bus was completely destroyed.

The rear of the speeding passenger bus collided with the milk truck causing both the vehicles to overturn and the milk spilled onto the highway. Bodies of passengers are scattered on the highway.

The dead and injured were shifted to the nearest hospital by the people living near the highway. Where 18 passengers have been confirmed dead while 19 injured are out of danger.

The police say that in the initial investigation, the cause of the accident seems to be high speed, but the transport department has formed an inquiry committee for the investigation.

It should be noted that traffic accidents are common in India due to non-compliance of rules, poor roads, speeding and dilapidated buses.
