Approval of $2.58 million compensation for Chinese victims of Dasu Hydro Project attack

The Economic Coordination Committee has approved the compensation of 2.58 million dollars for the Chinese victims of the attack under the package for the Chinese nationals killed in terrorism at Dasu Dam.

Six Chinese nationals working on Dasu Dam were killed in a terrorist attack on March 26, whose families will be compensated by the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) chaired by the Federal Minister of Finance approved the release of 8 million dollars for the expenses of Roosevelt Hotel New York.

Since the closure of the Roosevelt Hotel in 2020, $150 million has been borrowed from the National Bank. A grant of 1 billion 2 crore rupees was also approved for ERA.

According to the sources, the 9-point agenda was considered in the Economic Coordination Committee meeting. Approved release of funds for supply of gas to Pakistan Steel Mills.

According to the agenda, additional 12 billion five crore rupees was approved for the Ministry of Interior and the administration of Islamabad. Which includes the approval of more than 12 billion rupees for the federal program for the prevention of infectious diseases.

Rs 2 billion 21 crore towards development expenditure for Power Division and Rs 1845 crore for technical supplementary grant of Nuclear Regulatory Authority were also approved.
