Bogota: Colombian President Gustavo Petro ordered the opening of an embassy in the West Bank city of Ramallah to improve relations with Palestine.

After which Colombia has announced to open its embassy in Palestine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia told reporters that the arrangements for opening an embassy in Palestine have been completed on the order of President Gustavo Petro. The embassy will be opened in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

It should be remembered that the President of Colombia expressed his intention in a meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador Rauf al-Maliki last year that he wishes to open an embassy in Palestine.

A day ago, the European countries Spain, Norway and Ireland announced the recognition of Palestine as a state, saying that without it, the concept of peace in the Middle East is inevitable.

However, Israel expressed its anger and recalled its ambassadors and envoys from these countries.
