Decision to create a National Registration Policy to keep the citizenship registration process transparent

The government has decided to make the National Registration Policy to make the citizenship registration process transparent and fool-proof.

According to the statement, under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a review meeting regarding National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) was held in which the above decision was taken.

On this occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that identity card and citizenship are very important. Consensus of all the provinces must also be obtained on the National Registration Policy.

He said that NADRA’s access to union councils is very important in this regard, the policy will make citizenship registration transparent and foolproof.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the new policy will also prevent illegal registration of citizenship.

The statement said that the plan to increase NADRA centers in six major cities was reviewed in the meeting.

It was decided to include Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Multan in the plan.

Mohsin Naqvi said that this plan should be finalized and its implementation should be started in the next few days.
