Decision to facilitate production of identity cards at Union Council level across the country

Islamabad: The government has decided to facilitate the creation of identity cards at the Union Council level across the country.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the NADRA headquarters, where he took major decisions for the convenience of the public, according to which the Union Council-level identity cards will be made and renewed across Pakistan. In this regard, biometric machines will be installed at the Union Council level.

The Home Minister directed to finalize the plan for making and renewing ID cards at the Union Council level in a few days and called for a plan to make the ID card system fool-proof, better and faster.

Mohsin Naqvi said on this occasion that he has visited NADRA centers and reviewed the situation, people are facing difficulties. A plan should be made to facilitate the visitors to NADRA centers and work without delay. He asked for a plan to increase the number of NADRA centers in 6 major cities in 7 days and issued instructions to take immediate steps to build more centers in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered effective action to end the fake identity card mafia.

He visited the NADRA operational room, where he was briefed about the digital monitoring system of NADRA centers across the country. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the efforts of NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar and his team.

On this occasion, an important meeting was held in the conference room of NADRA headquarters under the chairmanship of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in which various proposals were reviewed to make NADRA more friendly to the public. Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha and top officials of NADRA were also present on the occasion.
