Police investigation into torture of journalists is actually tarnishing their own reputation, Supreme Court

Islamabad: The Supreme Court has issued an order for May 13 court proceedings against the harassment of journalists.

The verdict said that the police investigation into the torture of journalists was actually tarnishing their own reputation.

The court also asked 9 questions on the petitions regarding media regulation.

In the first 5 questions, the Supreme Court inquired as to whose direction the application was filed, who appointed the lawyer, where and at what place the application was drafted, who took out the print for filing the application, who issued the notices, Who paid the fees for filing the applications and how?

The court further asked that the application draft, e-mail, courier, in what manner was sent, who paid the expenses including travel and accommodation, what is the proof of contact with any applicant including Qusin Faisal?

The case will be heard in the Supreme Court after a month.
