Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government made a verbal request for Kyrgyzstan flight, Khawaja Asif explained

Defense and Aviation Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif reacted to the allegations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif.

In an explanatory statement issued from Islamabad, Khawaja Asif said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government made a verbal request to the Foreign Office on the evening of May 20 for the Kyrgyzstan flight.

He said that the provincial government did not submit the necessary documents for the flight to Kyrgyzstan.

The Federal Minister further said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has announced on the media the allocation of flights to Kyrgyzstan, the Foreign Office and the Secretary Aviation have asked them to submit the necessary documents.

He said that despite the repeated request of the federal government, no action was taken for the formal request.

Khawaja Asif also said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government submitted the papers today at 2 pm, the Prime Minister has approved a PIA flight of the provincial government.

He said that the approval of the flight will be given by Kyrgyzstan soon, after all the necessary procedures, the flight will be operated at 4 am.

The Defense Minister added that this flight is in addition to the private airline flight already allocated to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
