Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it has been decided to increase the salaries and pensions of government employees and increase the minimum wage of workers.

According to Express News, the provincial government has approved raising the minimum wage of workers from 32,000 to 36,000 along with increasing the salaries and pensions of government employees by 10 percent.

It should be noted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is going to present a budget of 1754 billion rupees today, in which the expenses of the province will be 1654 billion rupees and the budget of the provincial government will be a surplus of 100 billion rupees.

Strong opposition to Ali Amin Gandapur’s snuff tax proposals

Meanwhile, during the provincial cabinet meeting, there was a discussion for more than an hour on the imposition of snuff tax, in which it was proposed to impose a tax on snuff in the provincial budget, which was strongly opposed by Chief Minister KPK Ali Amin Gandapur. While saying that snuff is used by poor people, it should not be taxed.
