According to the sources of Food Department, Rawalpindi, the last year’s wheat in the government warehouses has started spoiling, more than 130 thousand tons of wheat are lying in the government warehouses.

Flour mill owners say that the official rate per maund of old wheat is 47 hundred rupees and the quality is not good, while the official rate per maund of new wheat is 39 hundred rupees.

Flour mill owners say that a new bumper crop of wheat has arrived in the open market, wheat is priced at Rs 3,000 per maund in the open market and the quality is also better than government wheat.

They say that flour mill owners grinded their wheat and provided cheap flour to the government in Ramadan, 85 crores of cheap flour is owed to the government.

Flour mill owners say that if the government allows the export of semolina, flour, flour, bran, they can buy government wheat. The government should allow the export of up to 8 lakh tons of wheat.
