Published in the JAMA Network medical journal research According to the American health experts, after studying the research in several countries of the world, they found that people are regularly using such unsafe drugs without the instructions of doctors to reduce obesity.

During the research, the experts reviewed the data of 90 researches from other countries, including the United States, and in total, the experts looked at the data of more than 600,000 people. A large number of these people were teenagers aged 18 years and below.

According to research, a total of 6% of young people around the world are using various weight loss drugs and especially pills without the prescription of doctors. According to the data, most of the teenage girls are using weight loss drugs which is dangerous.

The World Health Organization said in the year 2022 that 400 million children around the world are suffering from obesity and in European countries including the United States, children and adolescents are becoming obese.

Weight loss drugs are generally not given to children as their use can lead to other health problems including depression.
