DG Civil Aviation Authority has decided to replace Khaqan Murtaza

The government took a big decision regarding the DG Civil Aviation appointed during the Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

According to sources, the government has decided to replace DG Civil Aviation Authority Khaqan Murtaza. Khaqan Murtaza was appointed DGCA in November 2020 under PTI.

It has been decided to give additional charge of DGCAA to Secretary Aviation Saif Anjum. Khaqan Murtaza will be appointed as Chairman EOBI.

In February this year, the Civil Aviation Officers Association demanded the removal of DGCAA on the issue of banning Pakistani airlines from European countries for 4 years.

The Civil Aviation Officers Association wrote a letter to the Secretary Aviation, in which it said that since last 4 years, DGCAA has failed to restore Pakistan Airlines, DGCAA should be removed immediately and a professional and competent officer should be appointed.

CAA Officers Association said that the failure of Pakistani airlines in European countries is causing a loss of billions of rupees.
