Woman sentenced to 50 years in prison for killing pregnant girl

According to a report published by The Associated Press, Clarissa Figueroa’s son died of natural causes in 2018 after which she had been desiring the child.

She joined a Facebook group for expectant mothers, where she met 19-year-old Ochoa Lopez.

Figueroa called the girl, Ochoa Lopez, home to give her some baby clothes and allegedly told her daughter that he had to kill a pregnant woman and take her baby.

When Ochoa Lopez went to Figueroa’s house on April 23, 2019, he executed his plan by strangling the girl with the help of a cord.

After that, the cruel woman called her daughter and with the help of a knife cut the girl’s stomach and took out the baby from her. She later called 911 to report that she had given birth to a baby who was not breathing.

Later on, when the police investigated the suspicion, the whole matter came to light and it took four years to solve the case and the woman met her end as per the court order.
