    The inflation rate is likely to decrease to between 21 and 22 percent next month

    Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Finance has predicted that the rate of inflation in the country will decrease to between 21 and 22 percent next month, and has shown the possibility of 22.5 percent and 23.5 percent this month.

    The Ministry of Finance has stated in the monthly economic update outlook report that the inflation rate in the country during this month (March) is likely to be between 22.5 and 23.5 percent while the installment of 1.1 billion dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Expect to meet next month.

    The report said that the rate of inflation will remain high this month, but will decrease further next month to between 21 and 22 percent.

    According to the Ministry of Finance, this year the dollar rate has decreased by 5 rupees 54 paise to 278 rupees and the Ramadan relief package has been increased from 7.5 billion to 12.5 billion rupees.

    The report states that Pakistan’s economic and financial position is improving with each passing month and the next installment of $1.1 billion from the International Monetary Fund will be received next month.
