Islamabad: Shahbaz Sharif was nominated as acting president of Pakistan Muslim League-N.

A meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Muslim League-N was held at the Party Secretariat Model Town for the election of the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-N. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Ishaq Dar and other members participated.

In the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif was nominated as acting president of Pakistan Muslim League-N. Shehbaz Sharif will be the acting president of PML-N till May 28.

PML-N leader Saiful Mulok Khokhar has said that Nawaz Sharif will be elected party president in the general council meeting on May 28. Rana Sanaullah Khan has been nominated as the chief election commissioner for the election of the party president.

In this context, Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said that the resignation of Shehbaz Sharif as party president was accepted with a heavy heart, and the services of Shehbaz Sharif as president were appreciated.
