Spain refused to allow a ship carrying 27 tonnes of explosives from India to Israel to dock at its port.

According to the Spanish transport minister, the Danish-flagged ship was carrying 27 tons of explosives from the Indian port of Chennai to the Israeli port of Haifa.

Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel says Spain will not allow ships loaded with weapons for Israel to call at its ports.

Spain’s move is in line with the government’s decision not to grant arms export licenses to Israel in order not to take part in the war. The Middle East does not need more weapons, it needs peace.
