Street crime cases reduced by one third, IG Sindh report to Chief Minister

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah received the report regarding law and order. According to the Sindh Chief Minister’s spokesman from Karachi, the report was given by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon.

According to the report of IG Sindh, street crime has been controlled to a sufficient extent, further action is in progress. In January, there were 254 cases of street crime per day. 252 cases were registered daily in February and 245 in March.

According to the report of IG Sindh, street crime cases decreased to 170 per day in March. According to IG Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh directed to further reduce street crime cases.

He said that I want complete control over castrate crime. Chief Minister Sindh also sought details from the IG against junkies who took stolen goods.

In this regard, IG Sindh said that three thousand junk workers are working in Karachi. Out of 3,000 junkyards, 354 are involved in the business of stolen goods.

The IG Sindh further said that 32 police teams have been formed which are working against junkies who buy stolen goods.

IG Sindh said that 77 cases have been registered against junkies who buy stolen goods and arrests have been made. IG Sindh said that stolen goods have also been recovered from several junkyards.

Chief Minister Sindh directed the IG to ensure prevention of vehicle theft.

Chief Minister Sindh also discussed the details of Security 4 project with IG Sindh and said that he has released 1.4 billion rupees for Security 4 project.

On which IG Sindh said that there are 48 toll plazas in Karachi. CCTV cameras have been installed at 40 toll plazas. The installation of CCTV at the remaining 8 toll plazas is in progress.

Chief Minister Sindh said that he will inaugurate the Security 4 project next month. IG Sindh said that cameras will be installed at all toll plazas by the first week of June.
