Islamabad: The Prime Minister has said that there are flaws in the Faizabad dharna commission report, a special cabinet committee will be formed on this matter.

A federal cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in which the country’s economic and security situation was reviewed. The meeting was briefed on progress in talks with the IMF delegation and Islamabad High Court cases.

On the Faizabad dharna commission report, the Attorney General and the Law Minister gave the important points of the report, while the investigation report of the inquiry commission on the Faizabad dharna incident was presented on behalf of the Federal Cabinet and the Attorney General of Pakistan and a detailed briefing was also given in this regard. .

The Cabinet expressed dissatisfaction over the report stating that the Commission of Inquiry did not act in accordance with its Terms of Reference (TORs). The federal cabinet directed to establish a special committee of the cabinet in this regard, which will present its recommendations in this regard.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister said that there are really flaws in the report and this report is not in accordance with the TORs. He said that a special committee of the cabinet will be formed on the issue of the Faizabad Dharna Commission report.

Apart from this, the Federal Cabinet on the recommendation of the Ministry of Interior approved the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Great Britain in relation to the extradition of 3 suspects of Pakistani citizenship.
