The Lahore High Court dismissed the petition filed for the disqualification of the expected Lord Mayor Khawaja Hassan

Lahore (Monitoring Desk) The Lahore High Court has dismissed the application for the disqualification of the expected Lord Mayor of Lahore, Khawaja Hassan. The nomination papers were challenged on the grounds that Khawaja Hasan, who was an earlier government servant, was not eligible to contest the elections as he had not completed two years of leaving the government service and had his nomination papers approved illegally. Therefore, they should be disqualified, on which Khawaja Hassan’s lawyer said that the applicant did not raise any objection in front of the Returning Officer while submitting the nomination papers, but directly filed the application in the High Court, on which Justice Karim rejected the application. Justice Karim had reserved the decision on the application a few days ago, which was announced today. After this decision, the obstacles of Khawaja Hasan belonging to the Muslim League-N to become the Lord Mayor of Lahore have almost ended. And their paths have become smooth.
