Ahor (Monitoring Desk) In the second phase of the local elections, the lion ate everyone, while the arrow hit the target in Sindh. Muslim League (N) is leading with 1167 seats, Azad is second with 920 seats, Tehreek-e-Insaf won 355 seats, while in Sindh People’s Party won 978 seats, Azad 176, MQM 118, Muslim League-N 84 seats. According to the unofficial results of the second phase of the elections, out of 2371 seats in Punjab, Muslim League-N won 1167, independent candidates 920, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf 335, Muslim League-Q 18, Pakistan Peoples Party 15, and Jamaat-e-Islami 8. In the second phase of the elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 21 seats, independent candidates 19 and Muslim League-N 10 seats out of the 51 union councils of Mianwali. Out of the 64 union councils of Attock, Muslim League-N 31, Azad 18, Tehreek-e-Insaf 9, People’s Party 1 and Muslim League-Q won 5 seats. In Gujranwala, Muslims League-N won 74 seats, Azad 38 and Tehreek-e-Insaf 6 seats. Out of 155 seats in Jhelum, Muslim League-N won 106, Azad 27 and Tehreek-e-Insaf 22 candidates won. Tehreek-e-Insaaf won 41 seats and independent candidates won 35 seats. In Mandi Bahauddin, 25 independent candidates won, PML-N won 14 seats and Tehreek-e-Insaf and People’s Party won 7 and 7 seats respectively. 103 candidates, Azad 44 and Tehreek-e-Insaf 33 candidates were successful. From Sahiwal, Muslim League-N 35, Azad candidates won 29, Tehreek-e-Insaf won 11 seats. In Khanewal, 74 independent candidates, 42 independent candidates, Muslim League-N 11 Tehreek-e-Insaf’s People’s Party candidate succeeded in one seat. In Chiniot, 85 independent candidates were successful, Muslim League-N 19, Tehreek-e-Insaf could win 4 seats. Out of 1,833 seats in Sindh, 445 elections were postponed, while out of 1,388 seats, Pakistan Peoples Party won 978, independent candidates 176, MQM 118, Muslim League-N 84, Muslim League Functional 29, Awami Ittihad 23, while Tehreek-e-Insaf won 8 seats. Inconclusive According to the results, the MQM won 77 seats and the People’s Party won 16 seats in Hyderabad, after which the MQM has become the mayor in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Out of 64 union councils of Badin, Mirza group won 35, People’s Party won 24, while 3 independent candidates won. In Munyari, out of 30 union councils, PPP won 5, Muslim League functional and Azadwa won one. In Tando Muhammad Khan, PPP won 24 and 4 independent candidates won, Umarkot won 39, Union won 39. People’s Party candidates were successful in the councils, while Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s candidate was successful in 1 seat, People’s Party was successful in 33 of the 40 union councils of Thatta and Muslim League-N was successful in 7. People’s Party candidates won unopposed in 11. People’s Party won all 57 union councils in Benazirabad, Arbab Ghulam Rahim Group won 43 out of 58 union councils in Tharparkar, 30 out of 38 union councils in Mirpurkhas, People’s Party won 30 out of 38 union councils while the results of 8 are yet to be announced, Tindwala Yorki won 21 union councils. Plus party and 1 independent candidate won .

Several major upsets were also seen in the municipal elections in Punjab, where Pir Ibrahim Shah, the brother of the Federal Minister of State for Religious Affairs, Pir Amin Al Hasanat Shah, was defeated in the local elections. On the ticket of the league, there was a chairman candidate from UC6 who was defeated by independent candidate Meher Bashir. While the brother of Sardar Nazr Muhammad Gondal was also defeated. In UC8 of Hafizabad, PML-N faced an upset defeat. . From here, Samdhi Afzal Tarar, father of Minister of State Saira Afzal Tarar and former President Rafiq Tarar, lost the election to PTI candidate Jafar Mehmood Tarar on the ticket of PML-N. On this victory, the PI workers celebrated hugely and took out a rally. Political analysts were also surprised by this result. In Tando Ullahyar, the son of PML-N Senator Rahila Magsi had contested on the ticket of PML-N on the chairman’s seat, but the candidate of People’s Party Jaman defeated Rahila Magsi by 800 votes. He has defeated his son. The winning candidate of the People’s Party, Jaman, got 2208 votes, while Rahila Magsi’s son was second with 1407 votes. In the second phase, 336 candidates were successful unopposed, of which 247 belonged to Sindh and 89 belonged to Punjab. During the polling, there were heaps of complaints in the Complaints Cell in the Provincial Election Commission Office of Lahore. More than 20 complaints were received. The Election Commission postponed the elections in 76 union councils of 8 districts of Sindh and announced new constituencies in 15 days.
