The World Bank predicts a decrease in inflation in the next financial year in Pakistan

Islamabad: The World Bank says that the inflation rate in Pakistan in the next financial year 2024-25 is likely to be 15 percent, while the economic growth rate is expected to be 2.3 percent.

According to the report issued by the World Bank on Pakistan’s economy, inflation will remain at around 26% in the current financial year, while the growth rate of the economy is expected to be 2.3% in the next financial year.

In the current fiscal year, the growth rate of the economy will be 1.8 percent, next fiscal year the growth rate of agriculture and industry will be 2.2 percent, while the current account deficit is likely to be around 0.6 percent of the economy.

The World Bank says that the financial deficit in the next fiscal year may be 7.4 percent of the GDP, while the fiscal deficit in the current fiscal year is likely to reach 8 percent of the GDP.
