Bamiyan: Three foreign tourists and one local citizen were killed and 7 were injured in the firing of armed men in Bamiyan province of Afghanistan.

According to the report of the Reuters news agency, the Ministry of Interior of the Taliban government said that a foreign tourist was killed and 3 local people and 4 foreign citizens were injured in the firing in the central area of ​​Bamiyan.

Interior Ministry Spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani said in a statement that armed persons started firing, as a result of which this incident occurred, but 4 persons have been arrested.

The nationality and identity of the foreigners killed and injured in the firing could not be immediately ascertained and the identity of the attackers could not be clarified.

Note that Bamyan is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is home to two historic Buddha statues, which were blown up by the Taliban in 2001 during their first term in power.
