A day of mourning has been announced in India today for the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian in a helicopter crash.

According to Indian media reports, the Indian flag will be flown today on all government buildings in India as per the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences on the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi yesterday.

In his statement released on social media website X, he said that he was deeply saddened and shocked to hear the news of the death of Dr. Ibrahim Raisi.

He said that his contribution in strengthening the mutual relations between India and Iran will always be remembered.

It should be noted that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian died in a helicopter accident.

The accident happened when the Iranian president was returning to Tabriz city after inaugurating a dam in East Azerbaijan.
