Various teams have hired 7 Pakistani players

In the players auction of Lanka Premier League 2024, various teams have hired 7 players from Pakistan.

Due to the PCB’s two-league policy, the big names of the Pakistan team stayed away from the Lankan Premier League.

Lanka Premier League 2024 will be played from 1st July to 21st July in Hoggi for which players auction was held on Tuesday in which Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed was picked by Dambulla Thunders for fifty thousand dollars.

Fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain was acquired by B Love Candy for 30 thousand dollars while Wasim Jr. was acquired by Colombo Strikers for 20 thousand dollars.

Candy also acquired Azam Khan for 50 thousand dollars while Salman Ali Agha was acquired for 10 thousand dollars. Muhammad Ali became part of Be Love Candy for 10 thousand dollars. Haider Ali was acquired by Dambulla Thunders for 25 thousand dollars.

Pakistan’s Shadab Khan has already become a part of Colombo Strikers before the players auction. The big names of the Pakistan cricket team were not selected in the Lanka Premier League auction.

Sources say that due to PCB’s two-league policy, most Pakistani cricketers are interested in other higher-paying leagues instead of dealing with the lower-paid Lankan Premier League.

Pakistan’s Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan and Abrar Ahmed will be in action for the Major League which will be held from July 4 to 28. Naseem Shah, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Osama Mir will be in action in The Hundred at the end of July.
