145 billion to 7 mega projects under completion in the health sector, briefing to the Chief Minister of Punjab

In Punjab, 7 mega projects worth 145 billion are under completion in the health sector.

A 5-hour long meeting of the Planning and Development Board was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in which CM special projects and initiatives were reviewed in detail.

On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that there should be no delay in 33 CM development projects, work should be done day and night for the timely completion of the projects.

He further said that full attention should be paid to timely completion of health projects.

In the briefing given to the participants of the meeting, it was said that 300 electric buses will be operated in Lahore and a total of 330 in other cities.

In the briefing, it was stated that day care center will be established in government offices, five expressways on important routes in the province will be constructed at a cost of 176 billion rupees.

The meeting was informed that the revamping of major hospitals will be completed by June, Air Ambulance Service by June and Motorway Ambulance Service by December.

The Chief Minister directed to complete the first phase of Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Lahore within this year.

Maryam Nawaz ordered to open OPD of Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha in December 2025.

The briefing informed that the first phase of construction and rehabilitation of rural and primary health centers will be completed in October.

In the briefing, Chief Minister Punjab was told that Smart Safe Cities in the districts will be functional by January 1, 60 lakh saplings will be planted in Punjab, wildlife survey will be conducted.

In the briefing, it was said that Global IT Certificate Program has started in Punjab, 4 thousand youth will take IT course under CM Skill Development Program.
