6 people including 5 Chinese engineers were killed in a suicide attack on a vehicle in Shangla
The foreigners’ vehicle was going from Islamabad to Kohistan when it was targeted near Bisham, DIG Malakand.
Shangla: 6 people, including 5 Chinese residents, were killed in a suicide blast on a foreigner’s car in Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the incident took place near Bisham when a car full of explosives coming from the front collided with a foreigner’s car, after which a loud explosion occurred. Due to the intensity of the explosion, the vehicle of the Chinese engineers fell into a deep ditch and caught fire.
According to DIG Malakand, the foreigner’s vehicle was coming from Islamabad to Kohistan. According to some reports, the Chinese engineers in the car were working on the Dasu Hydropower Project and were on their way to Dasu.
The driver of the vehicle is also among the dead. A heavy contingent of police has been dispatched to the scene.
