‘A nuclear bomb should be dropped on Gaza’

The American member of Congress proposed nuclear bombing of Gaza.

US Republican Congressman Tim Wahlberg has suggested dropping nuclear bombs on Gaza “like Nagasaki and Hiroshima” to “finish it quickly”.

His comments have been widely condemned and his office insists they were meant as a “comparison”.

In details provided to CNN by Wahlberg’s office, the Republican congressman added that the same logic should be used to “defeat Putin quickly” in Ukraine.

He said that the same should happen in Ukraine, defeat Putin soon, instead of using 80% of Ukraine for humanitarian purposes, the same should be done to eliminate Russia.

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Representative for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, has issued a report saying there are “reasonable grounds” to believe Israel is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Presenting the findings in Geneva, Albany said 25,000 tons of explosives, the equivalent of two nuclear bombs, had been used to wipe out entire areas of Gaza, destroying almost all urban infrastructure and agricultural land, mostly Homes, health facilities have been destroyed or severely damaged.

He said that in less than 6 months, Israel has destroyed Gaza, destroying telecommunications infrastructure, every university, most educational facilities and numerous cultural heritage sites.
