After the abrogation of Article 370, the first election in Occupied Kashmir, voting continues

For the first time since the abrogation of Article 370, important elections are being held in Occupied Kashmir, with Srinagar seat voting today.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), under the cover of election drama in Srinagar, Indian forces have deployed heavy personnel and modern technology including drones are being used to monitor people.

National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah also cast their votes.

According to KMS, for the first time since 1996, BJP has not fielded any candidate on the 3 seats of Kashmir.

In Srinagar, there is a contest between the National Conference and the People’s Democratic Party.
