An agreement was reached between Brazil and Pakistan on imports of high-breed cattle

ISLAMABAD: An agreement has been reached between Brazil and Pakistan for the import of high-breed cattle, the imported cattle include Nellore, Redus Sindhi, Guzeera, Brahman, Angus and other breeds of cattle.

According to the details, under the Green Pakistan Initiative of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, an agreement was reached between Brazil and Pakistan for the import of high-breed cattle.

In the completion of this agreement, the company Fan Grow, established under the Green Pakistan Initiative, played a practical role. The consignment of cattle imported from Brazil will land at Sialkot International Airport on March 28 through air cargo, from where it will be taken to Peruwal Model Farm in Punjab.

According to the agreement, Pakistan will import 9 breeds of cattle from Brazil, including local and Brazilian cattle.

During an interview, Brazilian Ambassador Olenthovera said, “There is great potential for bilateral trade between Brazil and Pakistan. The productivity of this sector can also be increased with investment and technology.”

The Brazilian ambassador further said that Red Sindhi breed cattle were taken from Pakistan to Brazil in 1950, whose breed has been preserved till date, the imported cattle include Nellore, Red Sindhi, Guzeera, Brahman, Angus and other breeds of cattle.
