Former national team captain and team director Mohammad Hafeez criticized the selection committee.

Speaking on a private TV program, former captain Muhammad Hafeez said that the selection committee has selected a weak team consisting of big names, efforts have been made to strengthen the team by calling the players sitting at home.

He said that Babar Azam was removed from the captaincy for some reason but he has been made the captain again.

Muhammad Hafeez said that when Babar Azam was the captain, he was accused of favoring every group.

The former captain said that no solid reason was given for removing Shaheen Afridi from the captaincy within two months. I had brought a four-year plan to improve the team, but I was removed from the post after two months.

It should be noted that the 17-member squad of the national team was announced in the last few days, in which recently retired cricketers Muhammad Amir and Imad Wasim have returned.

However, Mohammad Hafeez is not happy with the announcement of the national team for the series against New Zealand.
