A US State Department official has resigned over the US government’s continued support for Israel’s war on Gaza.

According to the report of the Washington Post, 38-year-old Anil Shalin has announced his resignation as the foreign affairs officer at the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.

Sheline told the newspaper that he repeatedly raised concerns and concluded that “as long as America continues to arm Israel,” ending the war is pointless.

Earlier in October, Josh Paul resigned from the State Department in protest of US support for the Israeli invasion.
