Apple’s announcement to introduce iOS 17.5 version soon

Technology company Apple has announced that it will soon introduce the first beta version of iOS 17.5 for iPhone users. Major changes are expected in the upcoming software update released by the company.

According to the website MacRoamers, after the iOS 17.5 update, EU iPhone users will be able to download apps directly from the websites of eligible developers. In addition, Apple Podcasts will include several updates, including transcripts, stolen device security improvements, and Siri.

According to Apple, this new ‘Web Distribution’ feature is expected to arrive sometime this spring with an iPhone software update (which likely points to iOS 17.5). However, ‘Web Distribution’ ‘ will be limited to large developers in the European Union.

To be part of the app-based web distribution, developers must have been part of the Apple Developer Program for two or more years and their app has been installed on more than 1 million iOS devices within the European Union during the past year. The bar must be installed.

The basis of ‘Web Distribution’ is actually the alternative app marketplaces that Apple has already introduced for EU iPhone users in iOS 17.4. These changes have been made by Apple to implement the new Digital Markets Act introduced by the European Union.
