Are the fares of Eid special trains decreasing?

Chief Executive Officer Railway Aamir Baloch has said that he will consider reducing the fares of special trains on Eid.

Four special trains will be run on Eid for the passengers of Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. According to the notification issued by the railway authorities, 2 special trains will be run from Karachi for passengers, the first Eid special train consisting of 17 coaches will go from Karachi to Peshawar.

The first Eid special train comprising economy class will depart from Karachi Cantt Station for Peshawar in the evening on April 7, while the second Eid special train comprising 18 coaches will depart from Karachi to Lahore. This train will have 2 business classes and 2 lower AC classes.

Two out of four special trains will also be run from Lahore and Quetta.

Chief Executive Officer Railways said that delay in salaries has been eliminated and will focus on early payment of gratuity, pension.

Aamir Baloch said that Premium Lounge Dining Car in Zakaria Express was very well received, Premium Dining Car is also being installed in Tezgam and Hazara Express, upgrading small platforms in a phased manner while other trains are being replaced by Green Line. It will take time to upgrade the style.
