Balochistan government, talks in Dharna Committee, deadlock continues

The Balochistan government has completed the negotiation process in Chaman on the situation in Chaman and the border tension.

A committee of ministers consisting of the provincial interior minister and the speaker held talks with the parties. The government committee said that the government delegation will present the proposals to the Chief Minister of Balochistan.

The spokesperson of the government committee said that the deadlock between the dharna committee and the government delegation remains.

According to spokesperson Sadiq Achakzai, the government delegation was determined to open the highways before the border issue was resolved.

The government delegation was demanding an end to the protests from all places.

Dharna committee spokesperson said we wanted progress on the border issue first. He further said that they have been sitting on dharna and protest for 7 months for the border issue itself.

According to the Dharna Committee spokesperson, the situation worsened due to ignoring the facts and walling us up.

Meanwhile, Provincial Home Minister Zia Longo, Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai and other officials left for Quetta by helicopter.
