Bangladesh has announced the squad for T20 World Cup

Dhaka: Bangladesh announced their 15-member squad for the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup.

Najamul Hussain Shanto will lead the Bangladesh team while experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is also part of the squad.

It should be noted that in the recent T20 home series, Bangladesh won 1-4 against Zimbabwe.

The series against Zimbabwe marked Shakib Al Hasan’s return to T20 cricket after a gap of almost a year.

For the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh has been placed in Group D along with South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal.

Bangladesh will play their first match against Sri Lanka on June 7 in Dallas.

It should be noted that all teams can make changes to their squads till May 25, after which any change will require approval from the ICC.
