CPEC projects worth 25 billion dollars are under completion, Ahsan Iqbal

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that the projects of the first phase of CPEC worth 25 billion dollars are being completed.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi are in Beijing on a visit to China.

According to the statement, this is the first high-level visit to China since the new government came to power.

Pakistani Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and Chinese officials received the high-level delegation of Pakistan at Beijing Airport.

Speaking to the media at the airport, Ahsan Iqbal said that projects worth 25 billion dollars under the first phase of CPEC are being completed in Pakistan.

He said that agriculture, industry, green energy and technology sector will be promoted in the second phase of CPEC.

The federal minister further said that China is a historical friend of Pakistan, which supported it in difficult times. The visit will help set the agenda for the 13th JCC meeting.

During his visit to Beijing, Ahsan Iqbal has met the officials of China Development Bank.
