Cristiano Ronaldo called a ‘machine’ by former toughest competitor

Former Chelsea and Arsenal star Ashley Cole has commended Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo, reminiscing about their intense clashes in the Premier League, Goal reported. 

Cristiano Ronaldo first arrived at Old Trafford in 2003 after legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson signed him from Sporting CP for a £12.2m fee. A premier league title and a Champions League title, an FA Cup as well as two League Cups are trophies Ronaldo earned.

Getting into the Real Madrid team, in 2009, he never stopped being a superstar and conquering the international fame while also taking many Ballon d’Or awards. 

Even though they are fighting each other for the title on their playing field they Ronaldo shared with Cole that Cole was his greatest opponent and a player with great features like his tenacity and skill.

It’s hard to believe, but Cole was saying that Ronaldo’s complete improved play and his success streak has been a result of the head-to-head conflict he has gone through in order to become the best player in the world.

Paying tribute to Ronaldo’s awesome abilities, Cole confessed that it was quite hard to defend against him and praised the famous Portuguese player’s exceptional athleticism, as well as his unexpected capability to reinvent himself and adapt to different roles on the pitch. 

Apart from the tense atmosphere of their matches, Cole still had the ability to acknowledge the player’s attributes and medication admired the riveting experience on the field together.
