Decision to entrust the management of all filtration plants to a single authority

A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz regarding Water and Pak Authority in which a report was presented on the situation of 5 thousand 27 water filtration plants across Punjab.

Senator Pervez Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and others also participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, it was decided to entrust the management of all filtration plants to a single authority.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to install new filtration plants on priority basis in brackish water areas.

He also ordered the immediate functionalization of inactive and damaged water filtration plants across Punjab.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz called for a comprehensive plan to provide clean drinking water in every area.

He directed that all resources should be used to provide clean water to the citizens.
