Captain Babar Azam was slammed by former cricketers for sitting out all-rounder Imad Wasim in the first T20I match against New Zealand.
The first T20 match scheduled in Rawalpindi last year was rained out, where only two balls could be played. However, former cricketers criticized the team management and the captain for giving a chance to Shadab Khan instead of Imad Wasim in the playing XI.
Former cricketer Iqbal Qasim said that Imad should have been selected instead of Shadab Khan, after making so much noise, Muhammad Amir and Imad Wasim were brought into the team, so give them a chance to recover their form.

Similarly, former cricketer and chief selector Mohsin Khan criticized and said that Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir should be given maximum opportunity before the mega events.

Earlier yesterday, former team director Muhammad Hafeez also ridiculed the management and said that the way Aamir and Imad Wasim were brought in was wrong because the cricketers performing domestically are being ignored.
