Google has added a new Gemini AI feature that will let users refine their answers.

Google A new feature has been introduced for Gemini, its artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbot. The new feature gives users granular control over the instant response and allows them to make changes to a specific section of text. Users can recreate the selected segment, modify its length or remove it entirely. The feature is currently only available for the web app version and has not been extended to the app. In particular, Google recently announced Several new AI features for Android devices.

Announcing a new feature in a PostGoogle said, “We’re launching a more precise way for you to tune Gemini’s responses. Starting in English in the Gemini web app, just select the part of the text you want to change, Give Gemini some instructions, and get an output you’re looking for.” This feature is being added to allow users to make changes to a small part of the response instead of completely recreating the creative process.

Once the response to the prompt is generated, users can select and highlight any part of the text. Highlighting it now will show a pencil icon in a circle. The Gemini logo also appears next to the pencil. Hovering the arrow over the icon brings up the “Edit selected text” description. Clicking this icon displays four options — Regenerate, Shorter, Longer, and Remove.

The options work as the name suggests. Regenerating will replace the text part and regenerate it. Short and long increase or decrease the length of the subject, and remove deletes it entirely. Additionally, users can add a prompt to edit it for that specific section.

Until now, the solution was to recreate the entire content or modify the prompt, and repeat it infinitely until the desired result was displayed. Making granular changes through this feature can potentially save users a lot of time.
