Grenade attack and shooting at a house in Baldia town, three people injured

Karachi: In Baldiya Town, armed suspects escaped by attacking the house with hand grenades and firing, as a result of which three persons were injured.

According to the sources, after asking a person named Iqbal, armed motorcycle-riding suspects threw a grenade outside the house and started firing in Patni Mohalla of Baldia Town. Three persons were injured in the bomb attack while the accused fled the scene.

After inspecting the scene, SSP Kemari Faizan Ali said that the armed suspects on two motorcycles asked for the house of a citizen named Iqbal and then threw a hand grenade in a black bag after which they opened fire. In the attack, Iqbal, a child in the street and two unknown persons were injured.

SSP Kemari said that the citizen named Iqbal did not receive any threat of extortion, they are investigating the incident, the police have also found bullet shells from the crime scene, which have been taken into custody.

He said that the CCTV footage of the incident has also been obtained in which the armed accused on two motorcycles are wearing helmets and caps and they are also seen fleeing after the grenade attack.

After the blast, the bomb disposal squad inspected the scene and issued a report in which it was stated that the accused used RGD-1 hand grenade, the fragments of which have also been recovered by the bomb disposal squad.

On the other hand, the footage of the accused fleeing after the grenade attack on the house came to the fore, in which it can be seen that 4 accused on 2 motorcycles attacked the house of a person named Iqbal a few minutes before Iftar. are escaping 3 of the accused were wearing p-caps, one accused who was sitting on the back of the bike was wearing a helmet.
