Islamophobia incidents in France have increased since 2015, reports

Paris: Due to discrimination and hateful treatment, the experts and talented Muslims in their respective fields are preferring to leave France and settle abroad.

According to the global news agency, highly educated and talented Muslims are now leaving France for London, New York, Montreal or Dubai. In an online survey, 710 out of 1,000 Muslims of French origin left the country.

All of these people included in the survey are descendants of Muslim immigrants who came to France in search of a better future and were victims of Islamophobia in France since 2015.

In France, there have been violent attacks on women who violated the ban on Abaya and Hijab etc. at the government level. Police also harass Muslims more.

It is becoming difficult for Muslims to carry on business activities. Due to insecurity and inequality, the life expectancy of Muslims in France is getting narrower.

A 1978 French law prohibits the collection of data on citizens’ race, or religion, making it difficult to obtain comprehensive data on discrimination.

Similarly, it is easier to get a job with a French name and they are also given more salary, benefits.

France’s human rights ombudsman found in a 2017 case that a black or Arab youth faced 20 times more identity checks than the rest of the population.

On the other hand, the Observatory on Inequality says that racism is on the decline in France, with 60 percent of French claiming that they are not racist at all.
