Heat wave, rains, storm alert issued this week

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an alert for heat wave, rains and storm in the province this week.

According to the spokesperson of PDMA Punjab, there is a possibility of 3 to 5 degree rise in temperature on May 8 to 10.

During this time dusty winds and thundershowers may occur in most districts of Punjab.

There is a possibility of stormy rain in South Punjab on May 10-11, the district administration across Punjab has been informed about this weather situation.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab DG Irfan Ali Kathia, standing crops are feared to be damaged by the storm.

He has also said that the people will have to be careful due to the increase in the intensity of heat and cold.
