Higher Education has no right to interfere in ICCBS matters, Dr. Iqbal Chaudhry

Dr. Iqbal Chaudhry, Director of University of Karachi’s Research Institute ICCBS and Coordinator General of COMSTEC, has said that Higher Education has no right to interfere in the affairs of ICCBS, Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar asked me. I will give a detailed reply to the letter written on his instructions as it is personal.

Talking to Jang, he said that during the last 8 months, the affairs of ICCBS have been badly messed up, which he is rectifying. He said that he was getting a salary of Rs 7 lakh from Comstech while he was doing honorary work in ICCBS.

He said that a lot has happened in the institution in the last 8 months which has affected the institution, attempts were made to create differences between the faculty, research grants and NOC of research visits were stopped. People are protesting and on strike, they are all plants planted by my hands. I am not against anyone and will talk to everyone.

When the advisor was not appointed, he said that it was decided to appoint me as an advisor, but then the appointment was stopped.
