Peshawar: The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court has said that I have to pay a heavy price for my decisions.
Speaking at the full court reference ceremony, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Muhammad Ibrahim said that if any questioner thinks that justice has not been done to him, he should be present on the Day of Judgment. Gave 15 thousand judgments in a period of 31 years.
Justice Muhammad Ibrahim said that out of 15 thousand decisions, 509 decisions were challenged in the Supreme Court, 279 of them were upheld by the Supreme Court. In the last few years, we have taken decisions according to the law, but we have been attributed to a political party. According to our law, the decisions were criticized by political parties.
He said that these decisions have cost me a lot. We have taken decisions according to the constitution and law. I was the tenth judge on the High Court when I was entrusted with the inquiry into the Army Public School Commission. In the commission’s enquiry, we recorded the statements of APS families and other witnesses along with army officers.
Chief Justice Peshawar High Court said that Senior Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim is the nominated Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court. I wish them all the best. Peshawar High Court will continue to make decisions according to the constitution and law.
Speaking at the full court reference ceremony, President Peshawar High Court Bar Association said that the services of Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim will always be remembered. On this occasion, the Additional Attorney General said that Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim always supported justice. Justice Ibrahim is an example for many people.
It should be noted that to pay tribute to Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Muhammad Ibrahim, the Full Court Reference Ceremony was held in Court Room Number One. Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Muhammad Ibrahim was appointed Additional Judge of Peshawar High Court on 11 August 2016. Became a permanent judge of Peshawar High Court on 1 June 2018. On July 7, 2023, the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court was appointed and on August 25, 2023, the Permanent Chief Justice of the High Court was appointed. Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan will retire on April 14.
