IG Sindh expresses satisfaction over action against scrap dealers

Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon expressed his satisfaction over the action taken against scrap dealers and scrap dealers so far.

A meeting was held in Central Police Office Karachi under the chairmanship of IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon.

According to Sindh Police Spokesperson, action against dealers and junkies who buy and sell stolen goods was reviewed in the meeting.

SSP Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) told the meeting participants that iron stolen from government projects is sold to scrap dealers.

SSPAVLC further said that 79 accused were arrested in 10 days.

On this occasion, IG Sindh said that the officers should take more steps against drug mafia and criminal elements.

IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon further said that the people involved in the scrap business should ensure that the business activities are in accordance with the law. Street crime can be stopped by eliminating the criminal gangs involved in the scrap trade.

IG Sindh said that he is satisfied with the action taken so far against scrap dealers and junkyards.
