Incidents of stray dog ​​bites have increased across the country, with 2562 cases of dog bites reported in the last one week.

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), 2562 cases of dog bites have been reported last week and the highest number of 2186 cases has been reported from Sindh.

Sources say that the Punjab government has not provided the data of the cases, besides last week 244 people were bitten by dogs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 95 citizens in Balochistan, 36 in Azad Kashmir, one citizen in Gilgit-Baltistan while in Islamabad last week. No cases of stinging were reported.

According to the NIH report, the highest number of dog bite cases in Sindh, 289, was reported from Dadu, while 275 were reported in Kashmore, 226 in Ghotki, 146 in Jacobabad, 40 in Hyderabad, 126 in Qamber, 154 in Khairpur. happened

Sources NIH said that last week 174 citizens were victims of stray dogs in Karachi West, 23 in Karachi Malir, 13 in Karachi East and one in Karachi Central.
