Meeting of the Turkish Chief of General Staff with the Army Chief
Army Chief General Asim Munir was met by Turkey’s Chief of General Staff, in which the Army Chief emphasized on furthering the existing military cooperation between the two armed forces.
Turkish General laid wreath at Martyrs Memorial at GHQ, Pakistan Army troops presented Guard of Honor to Turkish Army Chief.
In the meeting between the Army Chief and the Turkish Chief of General Staff, General Metin Gevrak, mutual interest, defense, training and promoting regional peace and stability were discussed.
According to ISPR, in the meeting, both sides recognized the strong ties between their nations, and the commitment of both sides to further expand defense cooperation was expressed in the meeting.
General Mateen Gavrak appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability, General Mateen Gavrak also appreciated the role of Pakistan Army in combating terrorism.
