Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that on May 9, a person and a group attacked the country in the lust for power. The nation recognizes the planners and perpetrators of May 9, the constitution and law will decide the punishment of these characters.

In a statement, Khawaja Asif said that May 9 will always be a reminder that a person and a group attacked the homeland in the lust for power.

The Defense Minister further said that what happened on May 9, even our worst eternal enemies could not imagine, their faces are etched in the memory of the people of Pakistan.

He said that on May 9, a well-thought-out plan was executed, targeting Pakistan Army installations and martyrs’ memorials.

Khawaja Asif also said that this cannot be imagined in any country of the world under any circumstances, the nation recognizes the planners of May 9.

He said that the echo of their slogans reminds us of this sad day even today, the punishment of these characters will be decided by the constitution and the law.

The Minister of Defense said that they should take a pledge that they will not allow any person or group to tarnish the reputation of the holy land, they will honor and sanctify the memory of their benefactors.
